Brandy Crockett, Grace Genevieve So many emotions ran through me that day. I have one week till my due date, will there be complications? I was so scared. The doctors thought she weighed 11 lb. A C-section was scheduled for later that day. I was so upset that I could not give birth naturally. I was so worried. Was everything ready for her homecoming? Would I be a good mother? Would there be complications during surgery? Would we both make it through the surgery? It happened so fast. All of a sudden, I was on the operating table. My husband's eyes were filled with excitement. All this waiting and the day had finally come. The doctor pulled her out of her cozy home. There was no sound. Then all at once she began to cry. Tears pored from my face. I did it. My precious little girl was finally here. I could hold her now. There are no words to describe the emotions that run through your body at that time. She was placed beside my head. Her eyes were wide open. When I spoke, she stopped cry! ing. My first words to my precious daughter were, " Hi, Grace. I love you so much." Grace Genevieve would be her name. All of the months of being uncomfortable, hot, and not being able to sleep, were worth it. She was beautiful and the greatest accomplishment of my life.
